Shredder.com
Shredder.com is a new Business Process Outsourcing(BPO) initiative launched in 2005 by an innovative IT team from Houston. Considering the recent development of the shredding business(See Andersen Consulting for details) and the always more digital life we are living , the need to securely get rid of electronic documents is becoming increasingly crucial. With e-shred(c) the solution is at your e-door(R) step. Shredder.com will create a single and secure e-mail address in the format shred-this@name_of_the_company.com and any document e-mailed at this address will be securely shredded.
To ensure low cost, the process is entirely outsourced to India. A certified operator will then open any document mailed to the e-Shred container, print it and securely shred it using a Andersen Consulting approved device. By default the documents will be printed in black and white but for a moderate premium full color is also available.
A shredding confirmation will then be sent to you. Optionally, we can include a picture of the operator shredding your document.
If you need a copy of the shredded document for your archive, the document can be scanned and sent to you before the shredding process begins (or after but it is more expensive and may take some time).
